Design and Operating Principle

Active compliance devices use internal closed-loop control with force, acceleration and position sensors to apply a set force in any orientation. The FCUFLEX controller sets force and monitors I/O from a PLC, robot controller or PC, and automatic acceleration compensation and payload weighing keep force constant as the robot moves over contours.

For impact loading or interrupted cuts, PushCorp recommends stepping up to the AFD620.

Integration and Selection

Select vertical or horizontal for reach, mount a compatible spindle and tune force in FCUFLEX.

Use the AFD620 for heavier spindles.
