Piab piCHIP Vacuum Generator product image

The Piab piCHIP is a lightweight vacuum generator that can be surface-mounted quickly on a variety of materials, with compressed air and vacuum ports on the same side for easy integration.

It uses COAX cartridges, operates from 14 to 87 psi feed pressure and provides three times the flow of a conventional ejector at the same air consumption. Operation is nearly silent, vacuum starts as soon as the valve opens, and output can be roughly doubled when faster response is needed.

Quick Verdict

A tiny, efficient ejector for clean, quiet applications such as electronics and medical, where it can be mounted right at the cup.

Design and Operating Principle

Placing the generator directly at the suction point minimises the volume to evacuate, so vacuum builds almost instantly when the valve opens.

COAX multi-stage cartridges reuse air through several nozzles to generate more flow per unit of compressed air, and keep performing at low or fluctuating feed pressure.

Same-side ports allow flat surface mounting on tool plates or fixtures, saving space.

Integration and Selection

Mount close to the cup and feed between 14 and 87 psi. Increase output if response time needs improving.

Use in clean rooms where quiet, compact vacuum is needed.
