PHD Pneu-Connect Series GRH Gripper Kit Review: Specs, Price and Applications

The Pneu-Connect Series GRH Gripper Kit attaches Pneu-Connect to a Series GRH parallel long-travel pneumatic gripper, now available with an analog sensor for jaw position feedback.
The GRH has a low profile, four sizes, large moment capacity and long tooling lengths. Wide jaws and a guide system minimise deflection, and a dual bore with low breakaway pressure grips a wide range of part sizes, including delicate parts.
Quick Verdict
A flexible long-stroke gripper kit for UR cobots, with analog feedback to verify part size.

Design and Operating Principle
Pneu-Connect solves the main obstacle to pneumatic grippers on cobots: valves and wiring. It embeds directional control valves, using MAC valves and a control board, that are driven through the Universal Robots tool port, so no external valve bank or I/O wiring is needed.
The Pneu-Connect URCap software is included and updated, letting operators control the gripper from the UR teach pendant, and pre-made programs speed up setup.
Long jaw travel handles varying part sizes, and the analog sensor reports jaw position continuously for part verification and adaptive programs.
Low breakaway pressure allows gentle gripping of delicate parts.
Integration and Selection
Pick the GRH size for stroke and part mass, add the analog sensor for feedback, and program with the URCap.
Use long fingers within moment limits.
