Muratec ALPHABOT Review: Features and Uses of the 3D Robot Warehousing System
Updated: 7 days ago

The Muratec ALPHABOT is a goods-to-person warehouse system built around a robot carriage that moves in three dimensions. The manufacturer does not publish a price. This review covers its specifications, features and uses.
Quick Verdict
In a conventional shuttle warehouse, shuttles serve one level and lifts and conveyors do the rest. ALPHABOT gives all of those jobs to one vehicle. The BOT travels horizontally and climbs vertically by itself, reaches every rack position and drives to the picking station, so there are no lifts or conveyors between storage and the worker. Muratec says this improves maintainability and redundancy, since a failed BOT does not block a lift that others depend on. Racks and stations are modular, and capacity grows by adding units and BOTs. The page gives no payload, speed or throughput.
