Design and Operating Principle
Energy couplings mount on the upper (robot-side) and lower (tool-side) assemblies of a manual tool changer. When the tool is locked on, the coupling halves meet and the media connect at the same moment as the mechanical interface, so there are no separate plugs or hoses to connect by hand.
MEK combines air, vacuum and 12 signals, enough for a vacuum gripper with sensors or a pneumatic gripper with position switches.
Integration and Selection
Mount MEK halves on the MGW upper and lower assemblies and route lines. Assign signals in the robot controller.
