Fives TunnelWash

The Fives TunnelWash cleans small parts continuously as they ride through a tunnel on a conveyor. The manufacturer does not publish a price. This review covers its specifications, features and uses.

Quick Verdict

TunnelWash is the high-volume option for simple parts such as gears and small shafts. Parts ride on a belt or chain through up to four zones, wash, rinse, second rinse and blow-off, and up to four lanes can process different parts at once. Spray is aqueous and solvent-free at up to 6 bar, and cycle times and speeds are programmable. Custom conveyors such as overhead or monorail are available. Fives says hundreds have been installed. It is not suited to complex geometries; SmartWash and RoboWash cover those.
