Fives InspectionWash Review: Specs and Uses of the CMM Inspection Parts Washer
Updated: 7 days ago

The Fives InspectionWash cleans sample parts before they go to the measuring lab. The manufacturer does not publish a price. This review covers its specifications, features and uses.
Quick Verdict
Before a part is measured on a coordinate measuring machine it must be clean, or chips and oil will distort the result. InspectionWash does this in one chamber: the part sits on a rotating turntable while fixed nozzles spray at up to 6 bar, then it is dried. Large swing-out doors and a slide-out table allow hand or crane loading. Two turntables take parts up to 550 x 550 x 800 mm or 700 x 700 x 1200 mm, enough for cylinder blocks and transmissions. It is a low-pressure flush, not a deburring machine.
