Company History

Elephant Robotics myCobot Pro 600

Elephant Robotics was formally established in August 2016 and joined the HAX hardware accelerator, receiving seed funding from HAX's parent SOSV. An angel round from Cloud Angel Fund followed in 2017, the year the company launched the Elephant 5, an industrial collaborative robot, and was named among the ten most innovative Chinese companies at CES. It made its first appearance at Hannover Messe in 2018.

The company then moved toward small, affordable machines. It created MarsCat, which it describes as the first bionic pet cat, and developed myCobot, which it describes as the world's smallest six-axis collaborative robot. It also set up a joint research laboratory for intelligent robots with South China University of Technology.
