Project Description:
TGW Logistics provided robot programming and simulation software to a large automotive tier-1 supplier deploying a new family of robot cells across three manufacturing plants. Engineers used the platform to design robot cell layouts, simulate reach and cycle time, generate robot programs, verify collision-free paths, and export calibrated programs to the robot controllers without manual on-robot programming. The workflow reduced robot programming time per cell by approximately 50% and eliminated most rework caused by collision or reach errors discovered during physical commissioning. Post-deployment, engineers use the simulation environment to test program modifications before downloading to production robots, enabling changes at reduced risk during shift changes rather than during planned downtime. The platform supports multiple robot brands used across the customer's facilities, providing a unified programming environment.
