Rainbow Robotics – AI Foundation Model for Robot Embodied Reasoning
Company:
Rainbow Robotics
Start Date:
2024
Category:
AI Robotics
Project Description:
Rainbow Robotics is building an embodied AI foundation model that allows its robots to understand spoken instructions, reason about tasks, and plan multi-step manipulation sequences without hand-coded programs. The model is trained on large-scale video data, teleoperation demonstrations, and synthetic data from simulation. A key goal is enabling zero-shot generalization: the robot should be able to handle objects and environments it has never specifically seen before. The AI stack connects language models with visual perception modules and robot action policies in a unified architecture. Hardware-software co-design ensures latency is low enough for real-time control. The project is evaluated through standardized manipulation benchmarks and real-world pilot deployments in logistics facilities.
