Asensus Surgical partnered with a network of hospitals to implement robotic-assisted surgical programs covering minimally invasive and orthopedic procedures. The deployment involved capital equipment installation in operating rooms, staff training for surgeons, OR nurses, and biomedical engineers, and integration with hospital IT systems and sterilization workflows. Clinical outcomes tracked include blood loss, procedure time, length of hospital stay, and complication rates compared to conventional surgery. Early data shows reduced blood loss, shorter hospitalization, and faster patient return to normal activity. The program requires structured surgeon credentialing, proctoring of initial cases by experienced robotic surgeons, and ongoing simulation training. The robotic system provides haptic feedback, tremor filtering, motion scaling, and intraoperative imaging overlay to assist the surgeon during delicate procedures.
